The ex-Goodison scout has praised the 53-year-old for the job he has done since arriving at Goodies on Park.
As reported by Alan Myers via X (22 July), a consortium headed by Kevin Malone is set to make a takeover bid for Everton in the coming weeks.
But King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – claims Dyche should remain in the dugout regardless of a takeover.
“Dyche must be getting assurances from somebody, and that must be Farhad Moshiri,” King said.
“Even if a new owner comes in, I don’t see why they wouldn’t stick with the manager who kept the club in the Premier League under immense pressure.
“He couldn’t have done much more than keep them up. It’s unbelievable that he hasn’t been rewarded by the club after everything he has done.
“He’s been emotionally involved and he deserves a contract extension at Goodison Park. However, the way he has been treated at the moment, it is so hard to work in those conditions.”
