Despite having to miss another month of action due to a hip injury,
Jack Harrison has been loaned to Everton by Leeds for the entire season.
After signing on loan with a buyout option, Harrison cleared an Everton physical on Sunday.
The 26-year-old’s Leeds contract included a clause allowing him to go on loan should the team be relegated from the Premier League.
Harrison was a target for Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, as well.
But it’s believed that the team had doubts about Harrison’s health.
Everton was ready to adopt a long-term strategy, despite Fulham’s opening-day loss on Saturday emphasizing Sean Dyche’s increasing need for attacking reinforcement.
Harrison might be available in September following the international break.
Harrison joins the team as its fourth summer addition.
But only one of them—the 19-year-old attacker Youssef Chermiti—came with a transfer price since Dyche and Kevin Thelwell,

Everton has attempted to sign Wilfried Gnonto, Harrison’s teammate.
But Leeds has stated the 19-year-old is not for sale
The Italy international will face disciplinary action for his recent refusal to play.
Harrison joins Max Wöber, Brendan Aaronson, Robin Koch, Diego Llorente, Rasmus Kristensen, and Marc Roca as the seventh player to depart Leeds on loan.
On the first day of play, the team also lost Liam Cooper due to a chronic foot injury and sold Rodrigo.
As expected to go, Luis Sinisterra was left out of the Birmingham team on Saturday.
Everton is considering signing Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy, who is out of favor at St Mary’s and has two years left on his deal.
McCarthy would be Jordan Pickford’s backup at Goodison Park and Gavin Bazunu’s number two.
The player, who joined the Saints from Palace in 2016, is also of interest to Crystal Palace.
