Everton confirm new injury blow as potential formation switch for Tottenham Hotspur clash.
Arnaut Danjuma, who hobbled off in the 0-0 draw at Fulham earlier this week, is sidelined due to an ankle issue. But, after Senegal’s elimination from the African Cup of Nations, Idrissa Gana Gueye returns right away to the starting lineup. Gueye plays in central midfield with James Garner.
With his squad once more severely thin, Sean Dyche might opt to play with a wing-back configuration when Spurs arrive.
Due to a knee injury, Amadou Onana will miss his second straight game. Dele, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and Andre Gomes are also out.
However, Seamus Coleman has returned to the replacement lineup following a hamstring injury.
Everton: Pickford; Young, Gueye, Garner, McNeil, Harrison, Ykolenko; Calvert-Lewin; Godfrey, Tarkowski, and Branthwaite
Subs: Hunt, Metcalfe, Dobbin, Cherity, Beto, Virginia, Patterson, Keane, Coleman, and Hunt.
