Everton’s manager, Sean Dyche, stated after the Merseyside derby victory over Liverpool that the team still has “miles to go” both on and off the field.
With four games remaining, the Toffees’ 2-0 victory at Goodison Park on Wednesday put them eight points clear of the relegation spots.
This is true even though Everton has lost eight points so far this season due to infractions of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations.
“Miles remain to be covered. The club’s truth line is something I’ve considered,” Dyche remarked.
“There needs to be a point at which everyone understands it. With all the supporters and everyone at the club, I still believe we are not quite there.
