Michigan’s Allen Park (AP)—Dan Campbell possesses invoices. Simply put, he’s not yet ready to give them up.

The Detroit Lions coach stated on Monday, one day after his team defeated the Los Angeles Rams to earn the franchise its first postseason victory in thirty-two years, “There will be a time and place for it.”

The NFC’s No. 2 seed, Detroit, will play home to two playoff games in one postseason for the first time in team history when they face the winner of Monday night’s Philadelphia-Tampa Bay game in the divisional round next Sunday.

Almost three years ago, when the Lions offered Campbell his first opportunity to lead an NFL club on a full-time basis, some scoffed at him for saying that his team would “bite a kneecap off” and kick opponents in the mouth.

More jokes were directed at Campbell after his 1-6 record in 2022, which came after his three-win rookie season.
