Detroit Lions rookie wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa was mysteriously absent from practice on Tuesday and there was no update on his status after that.

However, head coach Dan Campbell told 97.1 The Ticket that TeSlaa is just dealing with “a little bug” and is expected to be back with the team on Wednesday.
“Lions coach Dan Campbell said on [Costa & Jansen] that rookie WR Isaac TeSlaa missed practice yesterday with ‘a little bug.’ TeSlaa expected back in the building today, Campbell said he should be OK,” Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reported.
Drafted in the third round in April following a trade up by the Lions, TeSlaa has been impressive early on.

After a standout training camp, the Arkansas product stood out in preseason play with 41 yards or more in three contests and a trio of touchdowns.
TeSlaa had played well enough to earn a role early on, but now that Tim Patrick has been traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the door is open for the rookie to seize the WR3 role full time in his first season.
Campbell revealed earlier in the week that TeSlaa will see snaps in Week 1 and is going to contribute on special teams. We saw TeSlaa put in some nice reps as a gunner in exhibition play.

The Lions will release their first injury report of the 2025 season on Wednesday, so we’ll have another update on TeSlaa’s Week 1 status then.
