Oxford, Miss. – Ole Miss fell to 4-1 overall and 0-1 in SEC play after a 20-17 loss to Kentucky at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Post-game, quarterback Jaxson Dart analyzed Kentucky’s defense, which held Lane Kiffin’s offense to 92 rushing yards, 261 passing yards, and a 1-10 conversion rate on third downs, limiting the Rebels to just 14 first downs. Despite offensive struggles, Ole Miss had a chance to tie the game with a late field goal, but Caden Davis’ 48-yard attempt missed wide left.
Reflecting on the final drives, Dart acknowledged the team had multiple opportunities to win but couldn’t capitalize.
