Injury News: Key Cowboys wide receiver sidelined for an…

The Dallas Cowboys will be without veteran wide receiver Brandin Cooks for at least four games after placing him on injured reserve Saturday.

Cooks has been dealing with a knee infection that required a clean-out procedure.

Although initial reports indicated he might miss just one game, it’s now clear the injury is more serious than first expected.

Although Brandin Cooks is listed as a starter, he has not made a significant impact on the Cowboys’ passing game this season.

Over four games, he has managed just nine receptions for 91 yards and one touchdown, underperforming expectations. With Cooks sidelined, quarterback Dak Prescott will need other receivers to fill the gap.
