Crystal Palace ‘keeping an eye’ on struggling forward – Will be on ‘transfer list’ if woes continue.
Iliman Ndiaye of Marseille is being watched by Everton and Crystal Palace. Should he continue to struggle, he will be added to the transfer list this summer.
La Provence claims that the forward is being observed by the Premier League pair in front of the summer.
After making an impression for Sheffield United, especially during their promotion campaign the previous season, Ndiaye left the Blades in the summer to sign a €17 million contract with Marseille.
With just one goal and three assists in 25 games thus far in France, he has failed to duplicate his record of 22 goals and 14 assists in 88 games for the club before leaving.
That is insufficient, and according to La Provence, he is well aware of this, saying he “needs to do better.”
Everton and Crystal Palace, who are both “keeping an eye on him” should he become available, might be interested in that.
It is not surprise that Everton is interested because they were also connected to him prior to his summer move to Marseille and, had he been available at that time, again in the January transfer window.
Although Crystal Palace’s interest is very recent, they will likely have to fight for Michael Olise’s retention over the summer, and Ndiaye may be considered in his place.
The question now is if Ndiaye can improve in the following three months to succeed at the “club of his dreams” and make up for the first half of the year that hasn’t convinced everyone. That’s a problem for the future.
