Reputable Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims that Crystal Palace is interested in Koki Machida. Ahead of the summer transfer window, the Eagles are searching around for a center-back. But, Nottingham Forest, a Premier League team, will put up a fierce fight for the 26-year-old Union Saint-Gilloise defender.
Koki Machida is who?
During his arrival in Europe more than two years ago, Koki Machida has become more well-known. Before making his debut in the Kashima Antlers first team, the Japanese international spent his formative years in his own country. Nonetheless, since joining Union Saint-Gilloise, his stock has increased dramatically.
He was first signed by the Belgian team in July 2022 for an 18-month loan, which he completed in July 2023 as a permanent fixture. The 26-year-old has made 60 appearances for Union SG so far, contributing one assist and one goal. Not overlooked, however, has been Machida’s advancement throughout the last two years with the Belgian organization.
