sad news crystal palace head coach Oliver Glasner refuse to sign koki machida due to…….

Reputable Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims that Crystal Palace is interested in Koki Machida. Ahead of the summer transfer window, the Eagles are searching around for a center-back. But, Nottingham Forest, a Premier League team, will put up a fierce fight for the 26-year-old Union Saint-Gilloise defender.

Koki Machida is who?
During his arrival in Europe more than two years ago, Koki Machida has become more well-known. Before making his debut in the Kashima Antlers first team, the Japanese international spent his formative years in his own country. Nonetheless, since joining Union Saint-Gilloise, his stock has increased dramatically.

He was first signed by the Belgian team in July 2022 for an 18-month loan, which he completed in July 2023 as a permanent fixture. The 26-year-old has made 60 appearances for Union SG so far, contributing one assist and one goal. Not overlooked, however, has been Machida’s advancement throughout the last two years with the Belgian organization.

The Asian defender has drawn interest from a number of prestigious teams, including Bundesliga and Serie A teams. The Union Saint-Gilloise center back is now on Crystal Palace’s radar, but he is also a target for big-time Premier League teams.

Crystal Palace is considering
It makes sense that Koki Machida is of interest to Crystal Palace. Amid doubts over Marc Guehi’s long-term future, the Eagles are searching the market for a center-back going into the summer transfer window. The biggest names in English football are interested in the England international, and a summer transfer is possible.

Therefore, Crystal Palace needs to start searching the market for a center back as soon as the summer transfer window opens. As a result, a number of candidates—including Danilho Doekhi—have come into focus. Currently, Machida is the Eagles’ main target. However, there may be other teams vying for the 26-year-old Asian defender’s signature besides Crystal Palace.

Nottingham Forest has also been mentioned by Sacha Tavolieri as a potential suitor for Machida. A summer transfer to the Premier League may thus be in the works for the Japanese international, as his exploits at Union Saint-Gilloise have attracted interest.
