Arsenal are reportedly ready to spend a fee of around £60m to sign Crystal Palace star Michael Ollies this summer, as per the Italian outlet Tutu Jove.
The Gunners have been linked with numerous forwards over the last few years as they reportedly want to sign a new right-winger to support Buke Saka.
Daphnia, Nico Williams and Pedro Nero have all been suggested as serious targets but they haven’t opted to make a concrete approach to sign any one of them yet with Ollies now emerging as a new serious option.
However, it has been suggested that other Premier League clubs such as Liverpool and Manchester United have also registered their interest in signing him having been impressed by his recent displays in the Premier League.
Now, according to the report by Tutt Jive, the North London club have already stepped up their efforts to sign the Crystal Palace star by beating their rivals in this race and are closing in on to seal the deal.
The report further claims that Arsenal are ready to spend a fee of around £60m to lure the winger to the Emirates Stadium ahead of next season. It has been suggested that the Frenchman has a release clause worth around that figure so it seems Arleta’s side are prepared to trigger his exit clause.
However, although Ollies is a top-class player, he has struggled with injury problems in recent times. So, Arsenal need to be very careful about that before spending a big fee to secure his signature.
Nevertheless, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club can eventually manage to purchase Ollies in the upcoming transfer window to finally add a new right-winger to support Saka.
