Texas, Houston, April 7, 2024: The USA men’s cricket team took a 1-0 lead in the five-match T20 International (T20I) bilateral series being played here at the Prairie View Cricket Complex ground after a dominant performance that saw them thrash rivals Canada by six wickets. Both Andries Gous and Monank Patel, the captain and wicketkeeper for Team USA, scored their first T20I fifties to aid their team in convincingly defeating Canada’s 132 with plenty of time remaining.
Along with Gous, left-arm spinner Nosthush Kenjige made his T20I debut for the USA. He was the most successful bowler, taking three wickets for thirty-one in an extremely polished performance by the hosts all around.
