CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Bulls’ key player Zach LaVine will require surgery to finish the season on his right foot. Both before and after the NBA trade deadline, this presents the organization with a number of grave concerns.
The Bulls said on Saturday that after consulting with independent medical experts as well as the team’s training and medical staff, LaVine and his agent, Klutch Sports Group, came to their conclusion. Expected to happen next week, the treatment will keep the two-time All-Star out of action for four to six months.
“I think he made a decision that was best for his health,” said coach Billy Donovan. “I believe he tried his hardest to get back into the game,” the athlete stated. I think it was very challenging and stressful for him because of his foot problems, which made him feel like he had no chance of being himself or making a meaningful contribution.
