Billy Donovan takes over as the Chicago Bulls’ new head coach.
Billy and his family had a warm welcome to the Chicago Bulls. He is on a distinct level due to the success he has maintained throughout his coaching career. We believe that his capacity to assist his athletes in realizing their full potential on an individual and team level will be a great fit for our team. He has been successful everywhere in his career, both as a player and a coach, and we hope that trend will continue here in Chicago, “said Arturas Karnisovas, the team’s executive vice president of basketball operations.

After Donovan departed OKC, ESPN claims that Karnisovas began chasing him “aggressively.” Ultimately, the 55-year-old coach was persuaded to accept Chicago’s offer by the team’s “promising young squad” and “a chance to manage one of the league’s cornerstone teams.”
Donovan declared, “I’m thrilled to collaborate with Arturas as we work together on behalf of this iconic franchise.”
In 2015, Donovan departed collegiate basketball to join the NBA, and his first stop was OKC. With a 243-157 record, he guided the team into the postseason in each of his five seasons. Donovan made the decision to depart even though OKC’s front management was eager to extend his contract because he did not want to coach a club under construction.
The Bulls, in contrast to OKC, already have a sufficient number of talented players, including Zach Lavine, Lauri Markkanen, Wendell Carter Jr., and Coby White. In addition, they will be selecting fourth overall in the NBA Draft this year. After two years, will Donovan be the one to lead the Bulls back to the postseason?
