Meanwhile, Chelsea continue their pursuit of one of Europe’s top strikers. According to Football Insider, the West London club is working behind the scenes to finalize a deal for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian international has netted an impressive 76 goals in 133 appearances since his move from Lille, although he was loaned to Galatasaray after failing to secure a major European transfer this summer.
Since moving to Turkey, Osimhen has impressed with four assists in just three matches for Galatasaray.
Reports suggest there is a strong chance that Chelsea could finally secure a deal for the striker, having been linked to him for several months.
Osimhen attracted interest from multiple European clubs over the summer, but after no transfer materialized, he was loaned to Galatasaray for the rest of the season.
However, the loan deal includes a break clause, meaning Chelsea could negotiate his transfer when the window reopens in January.current contract with Napoli expires at the end of next season, and Chelsea are reportedly aiming to sign him for around £40 million.
