Done Deal: Burnley Loan Out Star Player

Burnley’s Michael Mellon, a striker, has been signed by Dundee on loan.

Utilizing their strategic alliance with the Premier League team, the Dens Park team has not wasted any time.

The 20-year-old will stay with Dundee for the rest of the year as they try to place in the top six in the Premiership.

The striker, who is the son of former Dundee United boss Micky, was on loan at League Two team Morecambe for the first part of the season.

His 15 goals in 27 games made an impression.

Mellon is a doe!

Michael Mellon, a striker, has signed a loan with Dundee Football Club, subject to international clearance.

Mellon joined Burnley’s U16 team after progressing via the Manchester United academy.

In 2022, he inked his first professional deal.

He said, “I am really pleased to be here and to get the deal done,” as soon as he arrived.

In the latter half of the season, I hope to contribute in some small way and support the team.

“As a striker, my goal is to score goals, and I want to achieve that here.

I am eager to take the field and play in the Scottish Premiership.

“I am really excited to close this deal and welcome Michael to Dundee Football Club,” Tony Docherty continued.

We have been following him for a considerable amount of time because he is a player of such high caliber.

“With so many suitors for Michael, we owe a debt of gratitude to Burnley Football Club and our partnership with them for their assistance in bringing him in.”

The benefits of our collaboration with Burnley are beginning to show; we now have three gifted young players from them who I think will be helpful to us this year.

I express my gratitude to Tim and John for their contributions to this transaction as well.

“Michael is an incredible football player; he is more than just a goal scorer.

His all-around game demonstrates his strength, quickness, excellent technical skills, and excellent link-up play.

However, his greatest asset is his ability to score goals.

This season, he has scored an extremely remarkable 15 goals in all competitions at Morecambe.

“He is a terrific addition to our already highly skilled team, and we want to grow, develop, and get the best out of him as well.”

Zak Rudden, on the other hand, has moved from Dundee to Raith Rovers on loan.
