Breaking News: Burnley in Talks for Dortmund Defender.

Burnley are in talks to sign defender Thomas Meunier from Borussia Dortmund on loan for the remainder of the season, with Leeds keen on Clarets full-back Conor Roberts.

Thomas Meunier, a defender for Borussia Dortmund, is being spoken to about joining Burnley on a temporary loan to play the rest of the way.

The former PSG full-back has drawn the interest of the Clarets, who are eager to add defensive reinforcements during the window.

The 32-year-old has only made seven appearances in the Bundesliga this season due to his decline in popularity at Signal Iduna Park.

The team led by Vincent Kompany is searching for further depth on their wings as they are ready to undertake more talks with Leeds regarding Conor Roberts’ future.

The Wales international is willing to change teams prior to the play-offs for the European Championship qualification.

After letting right-back Luke Ayling move on loan to Middlesbrough and ending Djed Spence’s season-long loan from Tottenham, Leeds has been looking into a variety of options both domestically and internationally.

Ever since joining the Clarets in 2021, Roberts, 28, has made 88 appearances for the team from Swansea.

But this season, he has only started eight of Burnley’s 22 Premier League games, while Vitinho has frequently been chosen by Vincent Kompany.
