The Jenners claimed on Wednesday that they are speechless due to the unprecedented pain they are feeling in the wake of their son Dawson’s passing.

They declared, “As devastated as we are, we are immensely thankful to be his parents and look forward to holding him again in heaven one day.” We consider ourselves fortunate to have received such overwhelming love and support from our friends and family. We are grateful that everyone is keeping our privacy private while we get through this really trying period.

When Jenner was declared out of the team’s game on Monday due to sickness, it was unclear at first if he would be absent for longer.

Jenner, 30, has been a member of the Blue Jackets for his whole NHL career. The product of Dorchester, Ontario, was selected as their All-Star this season after serving as captain three years prior.
