News Now:Five-star recruits Cameron and Cayden Boozer…

Five-star twins Cameron and Cayden Boozer revealed on Friday

Five-star twin brothers Cameron and Cayden Boozer announced their commitment to Duke on Friday, following in the footsteps of their father, Carlos Boozer.

Carlos, a two-time NBA All-Star, shared his pride in their decision, highlighting the hard work they’ve put in to reach this moment. After considering offers from Miami, Duke, and Florida, the Boozer twins chose Duke over Miami after visiting all three schools.

Cameron Boozer, a 6-foot-9 power forward ranked No. 2 in the ESPN 100, is recognized as one of the top high school prospects.

Throughout his impressive high school career, he has consistently been among the leaders in points and rebounds on the EYBL circuit.

In 2023, he excelled in the 17U circuit, averaging 24.5 points and 13.4 rebounds, and he won gold medals at both the FIBA Americas U16 Championship and the FIBA U17 World Cup, earning MVP accolades in both tournaments.

Cayden Boozer, a 6-foot-5 point guard ranked No. 17 in the ESPN 100, is celebrated for his exceptional passing skills.

He led the Nike EYBL circuit in assists last spring and continued to shine at the Nike Peach Jam, averaging 6.9 assists per game. Like his brother, Cayden has also won two gold medals with USA Basketball, demonstrating his playmaking talents on an international level.

The Boozer twins, who play for Christopher Columbus High School in Miami and the Nightrydas Elite on the EYBL circuit, have developed a powerful inside-outside duo.

They have secured three consecutive Florida state championships, with Cameron recognized for his refined offensive skills, high basketball IQ, and tenacious rebounding, while Cayden is noted for being a strong, reliable point guard with outstanding court vision.

Their commitment represents Duke’s first for the 2025 class and contributes to the Blue Devils’ growing roster of five-star recruits under head coach Jon Scheyer, making the Boozers the ninth and tenth five-star players to commit since he succeeded Mike Krzyzewski in 2021.
