After a narrow and hard-fought road loss to then-No. 8 and now-No. 12 Baylor (2-1, 0-0 Big 12), the Arkansas Razorbacks (2-1, 0-0 SEC), formerly ranked No. 16 and now No. 18, returned home to Bud Walton Arena to face the Troy Trojans (2-1, 0-0 Sun Belt). For much of the game, it was indeed a close contest. However, midway through the second half, the Razorbacks began to pull away from the Trojans.
Arkansas showed improved three-point shooting compared to their performance against Baylor, hitting 10 of 23 shots from beyond the arc for a 43.5% conversion rate, as reported by ESPN. The Razorbacks’ defense continued its relentless pressure, as it had throughout the season, including exhibition games. Arkansas’s strong three-point shooting and solid defense ultimately led them to a 65-49 victory over Troy.
Although some fans on social media voiced concerns over Arkansas’s slow start, the reaction was largely positive by the end of the game. Many fans celebrated Zvonimir Ivisic’s impressive three-point performance, where he went six for seven from beyond the arc, per ESPN. John Nabors, owner of *Inside Arkansas*, brought his trademark humor into his sports commentary, praising Ivisic’s standout three-point shooting.
