Deneitra and Darvin Ham are married, and they recently marked their 25th wedding anniversary. The head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan, but Ham moved out of the state to attend Texas Tech, where he eventually met his wife, who is from Dallas, Texas. Together, the couple has two children.

Ham was actually highly motivated to succeed in his work since he had his first son while he was still in high school. In an interview with the NBA in 2011, Ham stated, “I was playing basketball and trying to succeed for a whole different reason than most.” I had a child to feed.
