With Deneitra Ham, his wife of more than 20 years, Ham is father to two children. Donovan and Dominic, their sons, are now grownups. Darvin Ham Jr. is the name of Ham’s kid from a prior relationship. Ham was actually highly motivated to succeed in his work since he had his first son while he was still in high school. In an interview with the NBA in 2011, Ham stated, “I was playing basketball and trying to succeed for a whole different reason than most.” I had a child to feed. I didn’t give a damn about the basketball winnings.
