Done Deal: ipswich town goalkeeper Václav Hladký just sign a new contract of $66.5million to play with another….

Ipswich Town keeper Vaclav Hladky made a crucial difference for the Blues in their draw with league leaders Leicester City yesterday night, according to legendary manager Neil Warnock.

The Czech goalkeeper kept the Blues in the match with a string of outstanding stops, and Town’s late equalizer came from Mads Hermansen’s parry of Massimo Luongo’s effort into the path of Jeremy Sarmiento.

“The goalie was unbelievable tonight, and that’s what made the difference for me,” veteran Warnock said on Sky Sports. “I thought he was great, but I can’t reveal his name.

“The other boy makes a mistake, and I’m afraid as a goalie you don’t get two chances, so that’s the difference. We were right behind two of them, and they were unquestionably in the top corner.

Being a goaltender puts you in a difficult situation because a mistake damages your team.

“Brian Clough, who had a goalie named Peter Shilton, used to say that having a good one is worth 12 points a season.”

Warnock continued by talking about Town’s attempts to buy a striker during this transfer window and expressed his respect for rookie manager Kieran McKenna.

Warnock said, “(Nathan) Broadhead did well when he came on.” “It might be challenging at times, as when you sign someone, everything gets ruined, including the locker room and other areas.

“You’d assume that McDonald was my age because of how much I admire him and how sensible his speech is. I adore hearing him speak.

“And his boys..I knew he had Sammy Morsy there, he would be booked for playing against himself, but he had him there, and the team is a perfect example of that, one for all.

“I was really happy with how they changed things in the second half.”

“He’s chasing one of Kieffer Moore or Sam Gallagher—I tried to sign Sam a few years ago, but we couldn’t afford him,” Warnock continued.

However, it’s something Ipswich must attempt to do in order to enter that (Premier) level.
