Done Deal: $85million Chelsea strike have accepted to signed two years contract with Everton this……

A former financial advisor from Manchester City has advised Chelsea on which three players they should prioritize selling this summer amidst concerns over Financial Fair Play (FFP).

Since a consortium led by Todd Boehle took over Chelsea in May 2022, the club has spent approximately £1 billion, acquiring some of the most promising young talents in global football.

However, the massive investment has not yielded the desired results, with Chelsea finishing last season in 12th place and currently sitting in 11th this campaign under Mauricio Pochettino’s management.

Reports suggest that Chelsea may need to dismantle their current squad to raise over £100 million during the summer transfer window to avoid violating FFP regulations. Everton and Nottingham Forest have faced points deductions this season for breaching the Premier League’s FFP rules, and football finance experts anticipate a harsher penalty for Chelsea if they are found guilty.

According to Borson, speaking on talkSPORT, Chelsea’s projected losses appear to exceed those of Everton and Nottingham Forest by a significant margin, possibly resulting in a more severe punishment.

Borson noted that there was an assumption that Mason Mount’s transfer to Manchester United, announced on July 1, contributed to profits for the current season. However, it has since been revealed that Mount’s transaction occurred in 2022/23, leaving Chelsea with a financial shortfall.

Acknowledging this, Borson stated that Chelsea would need to address a £55 million deficit in their finances, given their current profitability of approximately £48 million for the year.

“However, this year, from a financial standpoint, is poised to be even more challenging than the previous one due to their absence from both the Champions League and European competitions altogether.”

Borson is certain that Chelsea will need to offload several players to adhere to FFP regulations, and he has proposed three academy graduates who may need to seek opportunities elsewhere.

According to the football finance expert, “It is imperative for them to find suitors for Trevoh Chalobah for £20 million, Armando Broja for £40 million, and Conor Gallagher for £50 million. Deals of this magnitude must be finalized by June 30, as stipulated in the Forest decision. There is considerable discussion about the difficulty of selling players before June, with the Premier League even suggesting that it is nearly impossible.”

Are Chelsea unnerved by the points deductions? Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness believes that Chelsea are now feeling “apprehensive” about the Premier League’s disciplinary actions after witnessing them penalize Everton and Nottingham Forest.
