sad new Toronto blue jay head coach has just announced his resignation to live the clueb and atlanta braves……

Right-hander Jay Jackson of the Toronto Blue Jays says he thinks he was tipping pitches after Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees homered off him on Monday night.

Cameras immediately panned Judge’s peculiar stares toward the first-base line during that at-bat, just before Jackson delivered. Based on either sign stealing or pitch tipping, many speculated whether someone on the Yankees was giving the 2022 AL MVP a hint as to what pitch Jackson was about to throw.

Jackson stated to The Athletic on Tuesday night that he thinks a Yankees coach saw the grip Jackson was using when he held the ball in his glove. The coach then gave Judge the information, which allowed Judge to hit a 462-foot home run. On Tuesday, Toronto recalled right-hander Thomas Hatch from the Bisons and optioned Jackson to Triple-A Buffalo.

There is no rule against coaches or teammates observing pitchers with their unaided eyes and telling hitters what they find out. The 2017 Houston Astros were penalized for sign stealing because they obtained that intelligence by using prohibited devices, such as live video feeds.
