Coleman Coliseum will host a game between the top two teams in the SEC rankings that should feature a spectacular offensive display.

Dalton Knecht, a Tennessee player, is among the most prolific scorers in the country.

The transfer from Northern Colorado has performed so much above expectations that it seems inevitable that he will be named a finalist for the Wooden Award.

He has been averaging over 26 points per game for the last seven weeks, and he recently put on an incredible 39-point performance against Auburn.

Zakai Zeigler, Knecht’s running partner in the backcourt, also improved in February.

The seasoned point guard got to the line more frequently than he did in the first three months of the season (+70% increase in FTA), and he averaged almost 15 points and eight assists per game.

While Alabama lacks a great player on par with Knecht, the Crimson Tide have become the best offensive team in the nation as a unit.

Salimetrics, Torvik, and Evan Miya rank Nate Oats’ offense second nationally and first according to KenPom.

The Tide dominate opponents from long range (11.6 3-pointers made, first) and smash the offensive glass with abandon (11.1 offensive rebounds, 21st) as they pour in 91.5 points per game.

Add in its preferred fast pace (ninth) and you’ll start to see why Alabama has scored runs in seven consecutive overs.

The fact that it has outscored the final total by an average of 21.5 points per game makes that streak even more remarkable. Talk about winning without a sweat.

Furthermore, Tennessee and Alabama are both excellent from the line (UT 74.7%, UA 79.1%).

According to my calculations, this game should be played in the low 90s, hence it makes sense to play it all the way up to the mid-170s.
