Kalen DeBoer, Alabama head coach, has completed his first coaching staff as the new head man in Tuscaloosa.

making him one of the most well-liked offensive line coaches in the game.

Ellis is a fantastic fit for our staff and one of college football’s top offensive thinkers.

Ellis was Georgia Southern’s offensive coordinator for the previous two seasons before moving to Tuscaloosa.

Under Ellis, the Eagles offense at Georgia Southern placed in the top 30 nationally in terms of passing offense and completion percentage.

As the University of Southern California’s quarterback coach in 2018, Ellis was instrumental in assisting Sam Darnold, the USC quarterback at the time, to be selected as the third overall choice in the 2017 NFL Draft.

After spending the previous two months with Baylor University in Waco, Texas, Kapilovic now plays for the Crimson Tide.

Prior to joining Baylor, Kapilovic oversaw run games,

assisted as head coach and coached the offensive line.

He was a major contributor to the Spartans’ 2021 11-2 record.

That season, his offensive line set the path for Walter Camp Player of the Year and Doak Campbell Award winner RB Kenneth Walker III.

Similar to Kapilovic, Christian Robinson comes to work in Tuscaloosa from Baylor University.

Robinson was the Bears’ inside linebacker coach during the 2023 campaign.

But Robinson has coaching experience in both the SEC and the state of Alabama.

He was Auburn University’s linebackers coach in 2022 after holding the same role for the Florida Gators for the previous four seasons.

The Gators finished fourth in the country in sacks during Robinson’s four years there, and they also caused 78 turnovers, which was the 26th-best in the nation.
