Breaking News: Baker mayfield has finally agreed to the $137 million agreement…..

Baker Mayfield was allegedly accepted by the Buccaneers.

With Brady’s retirement from the NFL revealed in February, Mayfield will have the opportunity to compete with Kyle Trask for the starting quarterback position with the Bucs. Trask, who the Bucs chose in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, has received positive feedback from the team’s executives. At the combine, general manager Jason Licht expressed his excitement about “his getting the opportunity to be the starter.”

Or perhaps not. At the very least, Mayfield will add some experience to the quarterback room in Tampa Bay. After three seasons, the 27-year-old will be playing for his fourth team. The Browns traded Mayfield to the Carolina Panthers four years after Cleveland drafted him with the first overall selection in the 2018 draft.

Mayfield had difficulties while he was in Carolina. With a 74.4 passer rating, he was 1–5 in six starts while completing just 57.8% of his throws for 1,313 yards, six touchdowns, and six interceptions. After sustaining an ankle injury during his last game as a Panther, Mayfield was benched.

Early in December, after being cut by the Panthers, Mayfield signed a contract with the Rams. He led the Rams to an incredible comeback victory over the Raiders only a few days after moving to Los Angeles, tossing the game-winning touchdown pass in the closing seconds to cap off a 98-yard drive.

Mayfield played a little bit better for the Rams in the end. Over the course of five games, he completed 63.6% of his throws for 850 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions, earning an 86.4 passer rating.
