Sad news: Sean Dyche Everton coach words follow loses another…

Everton: Sean Dyche may have saved millions as Dominic Calvert-Lewin decision made.

The Daily Mirror revealed on page 67 of its print edition from February 10th that the Toffees will now hold off on making the striker an offer for a new contract until the summer.

Everton will determine whether to address Calvert-Lewin’s contract, which is slated to expire in 18 months, at the end of the current campaign.

Despite his recent injury, the 26-year-old forward has failed to score in his previous 17 appearances, but Dyche still believes the forward will be with the team for the long run.

After the 10-point deduction, Everton is already embroiled in a legal battle with the Premier League. They are currently awaiting the outcome of their appeal and the league and FA’s consent for 777 Partners to take over Goodison Park.

The Toffees have a lot going on behind the scenes right now, so they tend to overlook player contracts, particularly ones as significant as Calvert-Lewin’s.

Furthermore, Everton is facing extreme financial strain due to multiple outstanding loans that have been supported by American investors, implying that awarding new contracts would be a foolish decision.

The club needs to resolve its internal concerns first before moving forward with player contract renewals and recruitment. This is especially important in light of the takeover, which may provide additional financial and resource clarity before Goodison Park undergoes a massive summer of reconstruction.

But there’s also the argument that, given his recent poor performance and his significance to Dyche, Calvert-Lewin isn’t worth a new contract at this time.
