Roy Hodgson is getting closer to the firing after Saturday’s humiliating 5-0 loss to Arsenal, which prompted Crystal Palace to create a shortlist of potential managers.

The Mail claims that Crystal Palace has now assembled a four-man shortlist, including Steve Cooper and Julen Lopetegui, to succeed Hodgson. Following their departures from Nottingham Forest and the Wolves, respectively, both are currently single.

The Eagles have also long admired Kieran McKenna, the manager of Suffolk Town, who led the team to promotion from League One the previous season. At the moment, Ipswich is in the running for straight promotions and is close to the top of the Championship.
