Hall of Fame quarterback and former Green Bay Packers star Brett Favre is set to join former President Donald Trump at an event in Green Bay on Wednesday, according to Trump’s campaign.
Favre will serve as a special guest speaker at the event, which comes just days before the Nov. 5 election, where Trump and Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris are competing for the presidency.
Both Trump and Favre are expected to speak at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon, a suburb of Green Bay. In the final stretch of the campaign, the candidates are focusing on Wisconsin, a crucial swing state. Trump is also scheduled to visit Milwaukee next week, while Harris will hold a rally in Madison.
Favre, who played 20 seasons in the NFL, was renowned for his durability, setting a league record with 321 consecutive starts over 18½ seasons from 1992 to 2010.
His NFL journey began with the Atlanta Falcons before a pivotal trade to the Packers in his second season, a move that reshaped the franchise’s future. Favre became the first player in league history to win three consecutive MVP awards, transforming the Packers into perennial contenders. He led Green Bay to a Super Bowl victory in 1996, the team’s first in 35 years, and a return to the championship game in 1997.
After briefly retiring in 2008, Favre was traded to the New York Jets and played one season there before concluding his career with two seasons as a Minnesota Viking.
