Even on a dead calm spot, only disturbed by a few gentle wind corridors, having a great session is totally within reach with the right equipment. In these light breezes crossing the surface, our team rider takes off to the sound of the mast cutting through perfectly glassy water.
With the power of a Droid to harness the phenomenal glide of a HIPE Cruzader, and a Sirus setup to maintain flight effortlessly thanks to its record-breaking glide, it’s all simple. Just wait for a small gust, let the board glide to activate the foil, a few pulls on the boom, and off you go.
guys, just wish to let you know that one of your fellow wingsailors died whilst sailing/flying at Lucky Bay yesterday. His name was Andrew and the circumstances are not clear yet but he was pulled out of the water by fellow sailors at about 5pm.
Reduce risk of injury or worse and wear a helmet and an impact/life jacket. An expert kite foiler died ten days ago while kite foiling in big winds with huge gusts on Lake Ontario (Toronto, Ontario Canada). Accidents are just that — something unexpected so take some precautions
It was a good effort and response by everyone involved in getting Andrew to the beach and continuing CPR, sadly we could not revive him. I wrote to Melville City Council yesterday requesting the possibility of a Defibrillator being placed at this popular watersports spot as this would have been the only additional help we could have given. Their response was one of cost and vandalism making it prohibitive.
Condolences to his friends and family
