Sad News: Everton management words following loses by…

Goodison Park ‘seething’ as Everton fight for Tottenham point – Henry Winter.

The Times journalist responded on Twitter on February 3rd, following the game’s 2-2 draw due to a stoppage time equalizer from in-demand Jarrad Branthwaite. The Toffees were motivated by controversy on the field, as Beto had been denied a late penalty just moments earlier.

After fans were “angered” by Radu Dragusin’s challenges on the Everton striker, Winter said that a “sense of injustice” off the field regarding the profit and sustainability referrals at the hands of the Premier League, coupled with a similar sentiment toward events on it, motivated the club.

“Power of a seething Goodison so important again,” wrote Winter. Feelings of unfairness both on and off the field appear to be EFC’s motivation.

“PSR, they were enraged at Dragusin’s challenges to Beto (shirt pull too?). honored for having a strong fighting spirit. A little game. 2-2. Maddison and Richar Lison are excellent [for] Tottenham.

At this point in the season, when the stellar run of victories in December seems a long time ago, any strategy that can motivate the players to rediscover their form must be employed.

The club’s 10-point deduction had been easily overcome by them, but now that a second one could happen pending appeals, their on-field performances appear to be much more difficult.

It appears that Everton will never be given a penalty, as if they needed further challenges in their ongoing struggles to avoid the relegation.
