Tragedy news: Sailboat engine explosion in southern USA kills 500 peoples raises regulatory concerns with 970 people have terrible injury……….

 

Operations to extinguish the fire that broke out yesterday on board the “Atina”, a 47-metre superyacht flying the Cook Islands flag , which caught fire off the Saline beach, on the southern coast of the Gulf of Olbia , continued until late evening .

 

On site were the teams of the Olbia fire brigade, who reached the vessel thanks to the Coast Guard patrol boats. The Command Operations Room also sent a team of divers and a boat from the Porto Torres nautical unit. On site was also a tugboat from the port of Olbia.

 

There were sixteen people, all of Turkish nationality, on board the vessel, but eight had already disembarked to go to dinner and the other eight managed to quickly save themselves by climbing onto the yacht’s tender.

 

Investigations are underway to determine the causes of the fire.
